Eureka

THERE was a woman who had been cursed to spend part of her life as a flower. Every day at crack of dawn she would disappear from her home and re-appear in a field outside, as a flower.

One day just before dawn she revealed to her husband that if he could identify her after she had changed into a flower, she would be freed from the curse. So a little later when she disappeared, her husband ran out into the field to look for her. There were buttercups growing everywhere, all of the same size and colour, but he identified the flower that was his wife. At this touch the flower reverted to its human form. The curse was broken forever.

Question: How did he identify his wife from among the other flowers?
Answer: All the other flowers were wet with dew.
